HOW TO MAKE COFFEE?

1. Fill the lower chamber with room temperature water up to the safety valve.

2. Place the medium-finely ground moka coffee in the filter chamber without pressing it.

3. Place the moka pot on the stove, cook on low heat.

4. When the coffee rises to the upper chamber, turn off the stove and serve.

Some Sample Coffee Recipes:

• Americano: Add 80–100 ml of hot water to 1 measure of moka coffee.

• Latte: Add 150 ml of hot milk on top of the coffee, finish with foam.

• Cappuccino: 1 measure of coffee + 100 ml hot milk + 50 ml milk foam + cocoa if desired.

HOW DOES THE MOKAPOT WORK?

Unlike traditional coffee machines, Moka Express works with the pressure principle. When the water in the lower chamber is heated, it turns into steam and creates pressure. This steam pushes the water up; it passes through the filter filled with coffee and reaches the upper chamber, and your coffee is brewed.

Unlike espresso machines, Moka works at low pressure (approximately 1.5 bar). This creates its unique full-bodied, aromatic and balanced coffee profile.

Tip: Instead of using very hard (calcified) water, prefer drinking water; this has a positive effect on taste and device life.
